JANUARY 22, 2016 - FEBRUARY 21

This group of work is vibrant, energetic and bursting with texture, color and shape. There is always abstraction in my paintings no matter what the subject matter is. In my life, the way I see a leaf falling can trigger a past memory. This is an emotional connection with God and my gift. Nature provides so many organic, compelling shapes. Moments from the past are captured within the backdrop of fragile and changing cycles of God’s creation all around me. By using a soft palette of colors with vigorous brushstrokes, I create paintings that convey nature as constantly changing, shifting and moving. This process meshes in a visible way on canvas, my search through my memories and connection to God through creation. This is how I connect with the viewer.
