LORRAINE KIMSEY

Lorraine Kimsey’s vibrant artwork is influenced by the impressionist paintings of Monet and Renoir. She tries to capture the strong patterns of light and vivid colors through the use of soft painterly brushstrokes. Lorraine’s love of landscapes and florals are inspired by God’s creation. She hopes to create paintings that uplift the spirit.

After studying art for the past 20 years, Lorraine has recently completed workshops with Camille Pryzewodek and Colley Whisson and Tim Horn. Acrylic is her medium of choice, although she has also painted with gouache and oil. Lorraine exhibits her work in juried shows in the Atlanta area and around the southeast. She is a member of the Women Painters of the Southeast and a merit member of the Atlanta Artists Center.

Lorraine currently resides in Marietta with her husband and three children. When the weather permits, she can be found painting on location in the metro Atlanta area.
